Web 2.0, is, in essence, how humanity has become interconnected throughout the world. Instead of the webmasters dictating what content goes on a website, it's the user who posts the content, under the rules of the site owner of course.
An example of this is Youtube, where everyone can post a video, a blog, or maybe even their own amateur movie.
Web 2.0 has made the internet become a staple in our lives. It makes getting a job easier. It makes communication easier. Posting your resume online to employers, for instance, can help you get hired. And even then, many businesses have started posting job listings online. If you make yourself known enough, your works could be tied back to you; good or bad. This is why we must take care with what we post.
It's helped someone like me, become a productive citizen. While the definition of Web 2.0 remains fuzzy, It became used amidst my high school career and it created a more collaborative learning environment. Even now, my college district educates me through its online courses, and internet strangers continue to teach me more and more about information technology and programming.
